Lundgren Gallery is proud to present the show Diagram: Stable Drift by artist Jan Vallverdú (Barcelona, 1995), a series developed after his residency with Danny First in Los Angeles last summer, where painting is approached as a field of suspended forces rather than a fixed image. Please join us for the opening on Thursday of 2 July, between 16:00 - 18:00!

Drawing on the notion of the “diagram,” the works unfold as processes of formation that remain in flux: figure and ground, structure and drift coexist without fully resolving into stability. The image no longer appears as an endpoint, but as a provisional equilibrium within a continuous movement of tensions, shifts, and internal reconfigurations.
